Month Moodboards

JULY - SUMMER HOLIDAY
For my first month I chose to use July with a beach style theme which will include sand, water and inanimate objects such as an umbrella and beachball.
APRIL - SPRING BEGINNING
For my second month I have chosen April with a spring theme including fresh leaves, bugs and water droplets for effect

JANUARY - WINTER SCENE

For my third month I have chosen January with the theme of winter outside which I will create using components such ar fur trees, lanterns and possible my previously created snowman

To create this design I made a torus knot which I changed to anistropic in the material editor and played with the specular level and anistopy until I got a chrome looking effect. I then added a bitmap image on the London skyline by night and made the original ambient colour black.
Im really pleased with the finished design and I think the black ambient colour works well with the night scene.

I created the different materials on this teapot but seperating the segments using Multi Sub-Objects tool. This could be an interesting tool when making an object with many different sections such as a wooden cart.

Heres my attempt at making a snowman for my winter scene which will represent January.
I created the body and head using spheres and rendered noise to get the effect.
I created the stick arms using different sized cylinders grouped together.
The small details such as the eyes and nose are made with simple shapes.
The snow effect on the body was created using noise with a white and a soft blue to contrast.
